Baseball Preview: South Kingstown Rebels vs. Pilgrim Patriots
The South Kingstown Rebels will head out on the road to take on the Pilgrim Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
South Kingstown fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Portsmouth on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jonah Monnes was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.
