Basketball Recap: Monona Grove Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Monona Grove can now relate to. They lost to the Edgewood Crusaders on the road by a 55-40 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Silver Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Crusaders are ranked tenth).

Monona Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Edgewood, the win (which was their 24th in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

As of now, neither Monona Grove nor Edgewood have any future games scheduled.
