Preview: St. Paul's Episcopal Saints vs. UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs
The St. Paul's Episcopal Saints will head out on the road to face off against the UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Saturday, St. Paul's Episcopal had to suffer through a rough 66-35 loss at the hands of Fairhope. While losing is never fun, St. Paul's Episcopal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while Fairhope is ranked 17th).
Meanwhile, even though Cottage Hill Christian Academy scored an imposing 62 points on Friday, UMS-Wright Prep still came out on top. UMS-Wright Prep snuck past Cottage Hill Christian Academy with a 67-62 victory. UMS-Wright Prep didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
St. Paul's Episcopal has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for UMS-Wright Prep, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-7.
Things could have been worse for St. Paul's Episcopal, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 41-25 loss to UMS-Wright Prep in their previous meeting back in February. Can St. Paul's Episcopal avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
