Volleyball Recap: Key West Takes a Loss

Key West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the St. Brendan Sabres. The Conchs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Sabres from their previous meeting back in October of 2021.

Audrey Smith paced Key West's offense, picking up six kills. Smith got some help from Molly McKnight and her 15 assists. Finally, Tess Wright kept Key West's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Key West's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for St. Brendan, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Key West has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Immaculata-La Salle on the 27th. As for St. Brendan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Mater Lakes Academy on the 26th.
