Volleyball Game Preview: Simla Cubs vs. Burlington Cougars

Simla is a perfect 3-0 against Burlington since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Cubs will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 1:00 p.m. Simla will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Simla got the win against Peyton by a conclusive 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Simla took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-11, 25-6.

Meanwhile, Burlington unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against Yuma, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cougars have suffered since October 26, 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-15.

Simla's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Burlington, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Simla was able to grind out a solid win over Burlington in their previous meeting back in November of 2019, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cubs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
