Preview: Mascoutah Indians vs. Belleville East Lancers
The Mascoutah Indians will be playing at home against the Belleville East Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Mascoutah lost to Salem on the road by a decisive 45-31 margin. Mascoutah has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Belleville East's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. Their tough 61-35 loss to Teutopolis might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Belleville East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while Teutopolis is ranked 83rd).
Mascoutah has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Belleville East, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.
