Baseball Recap: Hamshire-Fannett Takes a Loss

Hamshire-Fannett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Livingston Lions, falling 8-2. That's two games in a row now that the Longhorns have lost by exactly six runs.

Jaxin Mayer was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He also hit two doubles, marking his first of the season.

Hamshire-Fannett's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Livingston, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-12-2.

While Hamshire-Fannett had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
