Baseball Recap: Miller Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Miller's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Purdy Eagles on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Cardinals' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Miller's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Purdy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-1-1.

Coming up, Purdy will look to defend their home field on Monday against Tuscumbia at 5:00 p.m. Miller will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' matchup: after the Eagles face off against the Lions, they'll take on Miller again at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
