Basketball Game Preview: Tri County Northeast Wolfpack vs. Homer Knights

The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack will venture away from home to challenge the Homer Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Tri County Northeast and nine for Homer.

Last Thursday, Tri County Northeast came up short against Hartington-Newcastle and fell 46-35. While the Wolfpack didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 12-6 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Homer ended up a good deal behind Randolph on Thursday and lost 66-51.

Homer's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Tri County Northeast, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-11.

Tri County Northeast strolled past Homer when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 39-25. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tri County Northeast since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
