Softball Recap: Marion Gets the Win

While Marion didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Searcy Lions on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-5 on Tuesday.

The win made it two in a row for Marion and bumps their season record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Searcy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.

Coming up, Marion will venture away from home to take on Hernando at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Searcy, they will welcome Sylvan Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sylvan Hills' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Searcy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
