Soccer Game Preview: Lake Nona vs. Lake Buena Vista

The Lake Nona Lions will take on the Lake Buena Vista Vipers in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake Nona is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.3 goals per game this season.

Lake Nona is headed into the match without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. They never let Dr. Phillips onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Tuesday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Dr. Phillips from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Gabriel Campos led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in November, Lake Buena Vista was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. They and University finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

Lake Nona's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three games. Lake Buena Vista's draw makes their record 4-4-2 this season.
