Oak Ridge is 8-2 against Folsom since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Trojans will face off against the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Oak Ridge's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so Folsom's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Oak Ridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Stagg get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. Considering the Trojans have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Ellison Schroeder tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Emery Glaser was incredible, firing off two home runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Carmen Montes De Oca was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Oak Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Folsom can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They skirted past Monterey Trail 6-4.
Folsom also got a great performance from Erica Bennett as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off nine hits.
On the hitting side, Folsom saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shay Sacay, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. Devyn Huber also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Oak Ridge pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Folsom, the win got them back to even at 12-12-2.
Oak Ridge took their victory against Folsom when the teams last played last Wednesday by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
