Burke extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Nathaya Phoenix. The Burke Bulldogs walked away with a 50-42 win over the Halls Tigers on Friday thanks in part to Phoenix, who went 7 for 13 on her way to 19 points and six rebounds. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Burke's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Halls, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Burke and Sissonville will face off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Sissonville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season. As for Halls, they will take on Tipton-Rosemark Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
