Softball Recap: Vance County Takes a Loss

Vance County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-5 to the Louisburg Warriors. The Vipers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Vance County's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Louisburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vance County will challenge Durham School of the Arts at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Vipers are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Louisburg, they will take on Martin County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gators will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
