After a string of five wins, Palatine's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 53-40 to the Rolling Meadows Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Mustangs are ranked 24th).

Palatine's loss dropped their record down to 19-14. As for Rolling Meadows, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season.

Palatine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rolling Meadows, they will challenge Stevenson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
