Basketball Recap: St. Edward Comes Up Short + How To Watch

St. Edward lost against Timothy Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Green Wave lost 54-32 to the Trojans. The matchup marked the Green Wave's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

It was another big night for Marc Gamble, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds for Timothy Christian. With that strong performance, Gamble is now averaging an impressive 8.5 boards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Rieger, who posted five points and three steals.

St. Edward has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Timothy Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, St. Edward will be home for the holidays to greet Illinois Math & Science Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Timothy Christian, they have already played their next matchup, a 57-38 victory against Parkview Christian Academy on the 13th.
