South Aiken kept a clean sheet against Aiken on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fighting Green Hornets, sneaking past 1-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Monday.

South Aiken's one-goal win came courtesy of Savvas Chionakis, who's now up to 27 this season.

The victory made it two in a row for South Aiken and bumps their season record up to 12-7. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 4-12 Aiken and 4-8 Midland Valley. As for Aiken, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
