Volleyball Recap: Conway Comes Up Short

Conway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Seahawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 11th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20, 25-17.

Madeline Green paced Conway's offense, picking up seven kills. Green really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 13. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Conway's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Myrtle Beach, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 10-2-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Conway is set to take on their familiar foe St. James at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Myrtle Beach will square off against rival Socastee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
