Basketball Recap: Emma Elder's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lambert over Cherokee Bluff

Lambert was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 70-52 to the Cherokee Bluff Bears.

Lambert's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Elder, who posted nine points. Molly Taylor was another key player, putting up seven points.

Lambert's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cherokee Bluff, the victory (which was their 11th in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Lambert and Cherokee Bluff will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Longhorns see the court they'll take on North Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on December 5. As for Cherokee Bluff, their break will end when they face South Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on December 5.
