Basketball Recap: Ten Straight Home Victories for Valley

Valley won against Ste. Genevieve last Wednesday with 63 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Valley Vikings beat the Ste. Genevieve Dragons by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 63-59. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-59 last Wednesday.

Valley's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points over those games. As for Ste. Genevieve, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.

Valley has already played their next matchup, a 47-44 victory against North County on the 15th. As for Ste. Genevieve, they will head out on the road to challenge West County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Ste. Genevieve likes a good challenge.
