Baseball Game Preview: Washington County Commanders vs. Marion County Knights

Washington County hasn't had much luck against Marion County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Washington County Commanders will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Marion County Knights at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Washington County is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shelby County on Friday.

Dylan Mattingly was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Marion County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak dating back to last season on Monday. They fell just short of Danville by a score of 4-3.
