Basketball Recap: Elijah Chaney's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cardinal O'hara over Williamsville North

Cardinal O'Hara came up into this matchup off a tough 20-point defeat last Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Williamsville North Spartans by a score of 62-60 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 63-51 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Cardinal O'Hara lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Elijah Chaney, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 15 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Mickel Ivey, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards.
