Volleyball Recap: Kiley Bray Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Valley Springs

There's no place like home for Cave City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Valley Springs Tigers on Thursday. This was payback for the Cavemen, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

While Cave City might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Valley Springs scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 16-25, 25-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cave City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kiley Bray, who had 26 digs and one assist. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Casey, who had eight digs and two aces.

Cave City now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Valley Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cave City will head out to face off against Heber Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley Springs, they will venture away from home to square off against Quitman at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
