Volleyball Game Preview: Liberty Tree Academy War Eagles vs. Pikes Peak Christian Eagles

The Liberty Tree Academy War Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Pikes Peak Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Liberty Tree Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Twin Peaks Classical Academy, taking the game 3-1.

Liberty Tree Academy was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 25 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 0-25, 25-0.

Meanwhile, Pikes Peak Christian entered their tilt with Kiowa on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Indians. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Indians on their court since October 27, 2018.

While Pikes Peak Christian might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Kiowa scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 25-27, 25-19.

Liberty Tree Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Pikes Peak Christian, their win bumped their record up to 14-2.

Liberty Tree Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Pikes Peak Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the War Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
