Volleyball Game Preview: Crimson Cliffs Mustangs vs. Pine View Panthers

The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs will head out to challenge the Pine View Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Crimson Cliffs is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since March 8th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Desert Hills 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Crimson Cliffs who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 24-26, 25-18, 24-26, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Pine View came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-15, 16-25, 25-10.

Pine View found their leader in sophomore Preston Twede, who had 14 digs and four aces. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Twede. Kaleb Finnegan also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

Pine View's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Crimson Cliffs, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.

Crimson Cliffs was able to grind out a solid win over Pine View in their previous meeting back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
