Volleyball Recap: Parkway South Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Parkway South kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the Rockwood Summit Falcons. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Falcons when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Parkway South took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 25-20.

Kelley Stricker paced Parkway South's offense, picking up eight kills. Stricker got some help from Lucy Wright and her 12 assists. Kara Evans controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Rockwood Summit now has a winning record of 3-2.

Coincidentally, Parkway South and Rockwood Summit will both be playing Parkway Central the next time they take the court. The Falcons will head out to face the Colts at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Patriots will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
