Basketball Recap: Jo Byrns Comes Up Short

Jo Byrns was the 78-14 winner over Christian Community when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Jo Byrns Red Devils took a 37-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christian Community Colts.

Christian Community's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from M.J. Dodd, who posted ten points along with five steals and four blocks. Dodd has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Rigsby, who had eight points and four steals.

Jo Byrns dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Christian Community, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Jo Byrns will venture away from home to take on Merrol Hyde Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Christian Community, they will host South Haven Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
