The Forest Hills Central Rangers are taking a road trip to square off against the Holland Christian Maroons at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Forest Hills Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 14.5 runs per game this season.

Forest Hills Central's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Ottawa Hills with a sharp 11-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rangers.

Peyton Robinson was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Karianna Wierenga was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Forest Hills Central hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Holland Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They walked away with a 15-12 victory over Hopkins. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Holland Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Forest Hills Central, their record now sits at 3-1.

Forest Hills Central suffered a grim 19-2 defeat to Holland Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Rangers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
