Soccer Recap: Greene Triumphs

Greene was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They won by a goal and slipped past the Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton Raiders 2-1. That's two games straight that Greene have won by just one goal.

Greene's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greene will venture away from home to challenge Walton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jefferson Central at 4:15 p.m. on October 8.
