Basketball Recap: Riverton Comes Up Short

Riverton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 73-46 loss at the hands of the Sheridan Broncs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wolverines have suffered since January 11th.

Despite the loss, Riverton still got an impressive performance from Garrett Jackson, who shot 63% from the field en route to 11 points and four steals. Gage Treber was another key player, putting up nine points.

Riverton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Riverton and Lovell will face off at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Sheridan, they and Arvada West will face off at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Broncs will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
