After a string of five wins, Union Pines's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 51-43 to the Overhills Jaguars. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Union Pines still got an impressive performance from Jaylen Kyle, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Kyle is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Jaydon Harrell was another key player, putting up seven points.

Overhills' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ja?Von Motta, who posted 15 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Odom, who had nine points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks.

Union Pines' loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4. As for Overhills, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union Pines will take on Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Overhills, they will face off against Westover at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
