Softball Game Preview: South Fulton Red Devils vs. Carlisle County Comets

The South Fulton Red Devils will head out to challenge the Carlisle County Comets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither South Fulton nor Carlisle County posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

South Fulton managed to slip by Hickman County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. South Fulton lost 14-1 to Hickman County on Monday. The Red Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

South Fulton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Lee, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Lee a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Carlisle County's offense. They came up short against Graves County on Monday, falling 13-0. The Comets have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Carlisle County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for South Fulton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

South Fulton might still be hurting after the 10-3 defeat they got from Carlisle County when the teams last played on Friday. Can South Fulton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
