            Softball Recap: Dougherty Valley Wildcats vs. Livermore Cowboys        
        
		
        
        
            Dougherty Valley had lost four straight on the road, but  on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 9-9 to make it five. They lost  12-2 to the Livermore Cowboys. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the  5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2024.
 Dougherty Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Laura Osborn, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
As for Livermore,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 15-8. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.5 runs over those games.
On Livermore's side,  Kaci Norton tossed a big game,   pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   eight  hits.
 At the plate,  Sophia Gerochi was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Laine Macosky, who  went 2-for-3 with five  RBI and one  run.
 Coming up, Dougherty Valley will be playing at home against Dublin  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Gaels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.33  runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Livermore, they will venture away from home to  square off against Granada  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
