Aitkin is 9-1 against East Central since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Aitkin Gobblers will head out on the road to take on the East Central Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Aitkin will be strutting in after a victory while East Central will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Monday, Aitkin made easy work of Hinckley-Finlayson and carried off a 68-47 win. The Gobblers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, East Central ended up a good deal behind Floodwood on Tuesday and lost 67-49.

The victory made it two in a row for Aitkin and bumps their season record up to 13-4. As for East Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Aitkin took their win against East Central when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 64-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Aitkin since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
