Soccer Recap: Scottsboro Comes Up Short

Scottsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Geraldine Bulldogs. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Scottsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Geraldine, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Scottsboro will take on Spanish Fort in a tournament on Friday. As for Geraldine, they will square off against Glencoe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
