Softball Game Preview: St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints vs. Magee Trojans

St. Andrew's Episcopal hasn't had much luck against Magee recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Saints will head out to take on the Trojans at 6:30 p.m.

St. Andrew's Episcopal fell victim to Pisgah and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Dragons, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Saints just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Magee and McLaurin meet (six straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Trojans came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 10-5. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

St. Andrew's Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Magee, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

St. Andrew's Episcopal suffered a grim 24-9 defeat to Magee in their previous meeting last Monday. Can the Saints avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
