Softball Game Preview: Sacred Hearts Academy Lancers vs. Pac-Five Wolfpack

For the second straight game, Sacred Hearts Academy will face off against Pac-Five. Sacred Hearts Academy will square off against Pac-Five at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Sacred Hearts Academy can't be to happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home last Saturday. They lost 12-0 to Pac-Five. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

For Pac-Five's part, Mauiola Zuttermeister and Kylie Oshita made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Zuttermeister tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Oshita pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Zuttermeister went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while Oshita scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Dahlia Gangano was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaimana Siu, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Pac-Five always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sacred Hearts Academy only posted an OBP of .304.

Sacred Hearts Academy suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Pac-Five in their previous matchup last Saturday. Can Sacred Hearts Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
