Football Game Preview: Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers vs. Linden Tigers

The Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers will face off against the Linden Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bridgewater-Raritan is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since September 14, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Phillipsburg, falling 36-13. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Stateliners are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Linden faced off against Plainfield on Friday. The Tigers and the Cardinals were almost perfectly matched up, but the Tigers suffered a 28-27 defeat.

Bridgewater-Raritan's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Linden, their record now sits at 3-6.

Bridgewater-Raritan strolled past Linden when the teams last played back in October of 2017 by a score of 28-12. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
