Mayo had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They blew past the Austin Packers 74-50. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Mayo pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Austin, Mankato West, and Winona. As for Austin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Mayo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 79-58 victory against Winona on the 11th. As for Austin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-64 defeat against Mankato West on the 11th.
