Football Game Preview: Hammonton Blue Devils vs. Kingsway Dragons

The Hammonton Blue Devils will head out on the road to take on the Kingsway Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hammonton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight losses, while Kingsway will come in with three straight wins.

On Friday, Hammonton came up short against Ocean City and fell 14-7.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kingsway). They took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 45-6 victory over Eastside. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Kingsway's defense and their eight sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Tristan Owen and Jordan Hernandez, who racked up five sacks between them. Mason Bryan got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Kingsway's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Hammonton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Hammonton might still be hurting after the 29-3 loss they got from Kingsway in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
