Basketball Game Preview: South Summit Wildcats vs. Parowan Rams

The South Summit Wildcats and the Parowan Rams will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. South Summit knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Parowan likes a good challenge.

South Summit is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Sabino just ended the team's four-game winning streak last Saturday. They took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sabercats.

South Summit might have lost, but man, Logan Woolstenhulme was a machine: he dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 boards. The match was Woolstenhulme's 21st in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Osguthorpe, who posted ten points.

Even though they lost, South Summit was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 20 assists in five consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Parowan also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Carbon by a score of 64-52. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parowan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for South Summit, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Everything went South Summit's way against Parowan in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as South Summit made off with a 69-47 victory. Does South Summit have another victory up their sleeve, or will Parowan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
