Game recap: Thunderbird High School Football Team bests Ironwood

GLENDALE, Ariz. - Thunderbird (Phoenix, Ariz.) beat Ironwood (Glendale, Ariz.), 31-19.

The Eagles pulled ahead on a rushing touchdown, and subsequently went into halftime leading 13-10. The Chiefs took the lead to win the game on a touchdown run by BJ Pelt in the third quarter.

The victory was a step in the right direction for Thunderbird, which was coming off a 37-13 defeat at the hands of Campo Verde in its previous game. The victory snapped Thunderbird's two-game losing streak. The loss was the third in a row for Ironwood.
