Baseball Recap: Canon-Mcmillan Finds Playoff Glory Versus North Hills

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Canon-McMillan had no problem doing just that on Monday. They came out on top against the North Hills Indians by a score of 3-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). That's more bragging rights for the Big Macs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Canon-McMillan got a great performance from Sebastian Shulsky as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 6.2 innings pitched. Shulsky has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Canon-McMillan's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Teddy Burke, who went 2-for-3 with one run. That's the most hits Burke has posted since back in March.

Canon-McMillan's record is now 15-6. As for North Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Canon-McMillan will be playing in front of their home fans against Seneca Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
