Landon Clemens leads Heartland Christian to victory over Indiana Christian Academy

The Heartland Christian Saints posted their closest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They skirted past Indiana Christian Academy 51-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Heartland Christian.

Among those leading the charge was Landon Clemens, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Clay Nivens, who scored ten points.

Despite the loss, Indiana Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Sawyer Tipton, who scored 28 points. Seth Plew was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Heartland Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Indiana Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

Heartland Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Varsity Opponent at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Varsity Opponent comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Indiana Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Suburban Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Suburban Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.9 points per game.
