Baseball Recap: Northampton's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Northampton finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 8-1 to the Easton Area Rovers. The Konkrete Kids have struggled against the Rovers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Northampton got a good showing from Brandon McEntire, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Erick Castro was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Northampton fell to 3-1. As for Easton Area, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northampton will square off against East Stroudsburg North at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Easton Area, they will face off against Stroudsburg at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
