Softball Game Preview: Lee County Bobcats vs. Jackson County Generals

Lee County is 0-6 against Jackson County since March of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Bobcats will square off against the Generals at 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Lee County's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Estill County on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Bobcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Preslee Cundiff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

Meanwhile, Jackson County was able to grind out a solid victory over Leslie County on Wednesday, taking the game 7-3. The Generals haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Lee County's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Jackson County, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13.

Lee County suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Jackson County in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
