Softball Recap: Thorp Comes Up Short

Thorp extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-9. They fell 10-6 to the Cadott Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-4 on April 14th.

As for Cadott, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games.

For Cadott's part, Ava Eiler was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Abi Bowe was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Coming up, Thorp will challenge Loyal at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cadott, they will square off against Boyceville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
