Football Recap: Bessemer Academy Rebels vs. South Choctaw Academy Rebels
Bessemer Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell to the South Choctaw Academy Rebels 48-44.
Bessemer Academy lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacob Rowell, who rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 318 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Tyseon Smith was another key back, gaining 178 total yards and two touchdowns.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bessemer Academy will face off against Patrician Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Choctaw Academy, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Columbia Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
