Recap: Rainier Mountaineers vs. Wahkiakum Mules
After a string of four wins, The Rainier Mountaineers''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 21-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wahkiakum. The low total for Rainier limited their streak of high-flying scores to four in a row.
Wahkiakum got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zakkary Carlson out in front who threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns. Grant Wilson was another key contributor, picking up 89 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Rainier's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Wahkiakum, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-4.
Rainier will head out on the road to face off against North Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Beach comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Wahkiakum, they will be playing at home against Ocosta at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
