Baseball Recap: Wheatland Mules vs. Van-Far Indians
While Wheatland put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Van-Far. Wheatland put the hurt on Van-Far with a sharp 15-0 victory. Fans of the Mules have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Brock Mendenhall was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Mendenhall was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Mendenhall is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Wheatland let Tucker Shaddox and Andrew Murphy run wild. Shaddox scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Murphy scored a run while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Sawyer, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Wheatland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .588. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .432 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Wheatland pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
